Jakarta, 22 April 2026 – DOKU, a leading fintech payment company and digital payment platform provider in Indonesia, has launched Green Pantry, a circular waste management program that turns office food waste into useful compost. This initiative is part of DOKU’s commitment to sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.

Green Pantry was launched to mark Earth Day and DOKU’s 19th anniversary. The program aims to divert up to 65% of organic waste, about 650 kilograms per month, from landfills.

With around 150–170 employees in the office every day, DOKU produces almost 1 ton of waste each month, mostly food waste. Green Pantry is designed to handle this waste directly at the source by integrating waste management into the office pantry.

“Even digital businesses leave a footprint. Through Green Pantry, we want to demonstrate that simple steps in the workplace can have a real and measurable environmental impact," said Himelda Renuat, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of DOKU.

Through composting in the office, employees are directly involved in sorting and managing their food waste. Apart from reducing waste volume, this approach also encourages a more eco-friendly and sustainable work habit.

The resulting compost, called BeyondGrow, is processed through several controlled stages, from collection, dehydration, fermentation, and maturation. This product supports zero-waste principles and can be used for reforestation and soil improvement.

As a follow-up, DOKU is opening limited pre-orders for BeyondGrow to ensure its benefits can be accessed more widely. This compost can be used to improve soil fertility and water absorption, thus supporting optimal plant growth. More information is available at: https://www.doku.com/about/sustainability .

Nabilah Alsagoff, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of DOKU, added that this initiative reflects the company's approach to integrating corporate sustainability into daily operations. "We believe sustainability should be part of the way we work. With the right systems and employee engagement, the impact can be managed consistently and measurably," she said.

The Green Pantry is part of DOKU's ESG commitment, which encompasses waste management, operational efficiency, and raising employee awareness of responsible practices.

Change doesn’t always have to be big. From the office pantry, we want to show that we can take a simple step that can bring real impact,” Himelda said.

This program is designed to be easy to implement and scalable, so it is hoped that it can become a reference for other companies in building more sustainable operational practices.
